Offset Curve Tool

What it Does​

Creates an exact parallel copy of any curve at a specified distance from the original. The offset maintains the same shape characteristics while providing precise spacing for seam allowances, facings, or design variations.

tip

Use the Other Side button if the offset appears on the wrong side of your original line or curve.

How to Use​

  1. Activate the tool by clicking the Offset Curve icon
  2. Select a curve to offset
  3. Enter the distance to offset as a value or formula
  4. If the offset appears on the wrong side, click Other Side button
  5. Enter a descriptive name for the offset element
  6. Click Save to create the offset or Cancel to abort
