Adjust Dart Apex Tool

What it Does​

Relocates dart apex points to create more flattering visual placement while preserving shaping function. The tool maintains dart leg relationships and fullness distribution while shifting the pivot point for improved aesthetics and professional garment appearance.

Industry standard recommends shifting bust dart apex 19-25mm (3/4" to 1") away from the actual bust point for optimal visual appeal and fit comfort. Make this adjustment on your final draft, not your basic block/sloper.

How to Use​

  1. Activate the tool by clicking the Adjust Dart Apex icon
  2. Select a dart from the Available Darts list
  3. Enter the adjustment value:
  4. Positive values move apex away from body landmarks
  5. Negative values move apex toward body landmarks
  6. Click Preview to see the apex position change
  7. Click Save to apply the adjustment or Cancel to abort

Enter negative values to reverse the adjustment direction. Use Preview to verify the apex moves in the intended direction.
