Export PDF
What it Does
Creates a PDF file of the draft currently visible in the workspace. Depending on the size option chosen, the program will tile your draft on as many pages as necessary.
If the resulting output contains multiple pages, each page will include a dashed line around the edges as well as markers in the corners. Each marker includes the legend R[number]C[number]. The R refers to the row number and the C refers to the column number. This facilitates reassembly of the pattern very accurately and quickly.
How to Use
- Select File > Export PDF off the main menu.
- You have a number of options for the PDF format:
- Letter – this is an American 8.5”x11” output.
- A4 – this is an international 210 mm x 297 mm output.
- 11”x17” - this is an American tabloid or ledger size output.
- 13”x19” - this is an American Super B output.
- 24” Roll – this results in output that is no wider than 24” for large format printers with paper rolls.
- 36” Roll – this results in output that is no wider than 36” for large format printers with paper rolls.
- Projector – this results in one PDF page, regardless of size for use with projectors.
If the draft is large, this can take a few moments to generate.
Make sure to hide reference lines and other large geometry in the workspace or the PDF generation can fail. If something is not visible in the workspace, it will not render. There is no need to delete anything.
