New Draft

What it Does

Creates a brand new draft within the program.

How to Use

1. Select File > New Draft off the main menu.
2. Enter a name for the draft.
3. Select a unit for the draft. You can choose millimeters, centimeters or inches.
4. Optional: Select a measurement set to use with the draft.
5. Click Open Draft or Cancel.

tip

The system will create an empty draft. Although you won’t see anything in the workspace, the area above the toolbox will indicate the draft name, the version, the chosen unit, the current layer (default Draft Layer) and whether the draft will be memorized.

warning

If you don’t use at least one tool and save before closing the browser or opening a different draft, this new draft will not be saved.

Point of No Return

The unit chosen can not be changed after the draft is created.
