Add Notch Tool

What it Does

Add single or double notches with laser precision by simply defining the distance from a line's start or end. Fine-tune the notch size and style with easy-to-use controls, ensuring your construction marks are always clear, accurate, and professional.

How to Use

1. Activate the tool by clicking the Add Notch icon
2. Select a line or curve to receive the notch
3. The notch is placed at the center of the line/curve by default
4. Enter a Distance to place the notch from the end
5. Select which end to measure from
6. Select a single or double notch
7. Use the Notch Size slider to change the size of the notch (default is seam allowance width)
8. Select a Style from the drop-down to change the style and color
9. Select Other Side to point the notch in the other direction
10. Click Preview after each change to see the notch drawn
11. Click Save to save the marks or Cancel to abort info::: Each notch has its own layer. The name of the layer will be the line/curve name followed by "Notch". If you want to remove a notch, use the Delete Layer tool in the Layer menu. :::
