Add Text at Point Tool

What it Does

Creates custom text annotations at precise locations on your pattern with full control over content, formatting, and sizing. The tool supports multi-line text entries, allowing you to add comprehensive construction notes, special instructions, or detailed specifications exactly where they're needed most.

Plan your text content before starting. Knowing how many lines you need helps create well-organized, readable annotations that fit your pattern layout perfectly.

How to Use

1. Activate the tool by clicking the Add Text at Point icon
2. Click anywhere on the pattern to select the text placement location
3. Enter the maximum width you want the text block to be
4. Enter your text
5. Add a backslash n (\n) where you want to start a new line
6. Click Preview to see how your text will appear on the pattern
7. Use the Rotation slider to align the text to other items
8. Use the Font Size slider or input box to change size of the text
9. Choose to align the text left, center or right.
10. Choose the text color / style
11. Click Save to finalize your choices or Cancel to abort

Add text annotations as a final step to ensure they remain properly positioned after all design adjustments are complete.
