A Progressive Web App, or PWA, is a website designed to act and feel just like a desktop application. It's a powerful new way for you to use Patternmaker Pro without the hassle of a traditional program.

Unlike a regular website, a PWA can be installed directly on your computer. This means you can find it on your desktop, in your Start Menu, or on your home screen, ready to use whenever you need it. You can even use it without an internet connection!

Browser Compatibility​

Since PatternMaker Pro is a PWA that saves all your work directly to your browser's local storage, your projects are tied to the browser you used to install the program.

PatternMaker Pro was developed and tested using the Chrome browser. Although you can run the program in any browser, we recommend installing it using Chrome. Other browsers are not as easy to use for PWA installation.

  • Use the Chrome Browser to install PatternMaker Pro to allow offline use.
  • You do not have to switch to Chrome as your everyday browser, just use it for the installation.

How to Install on Windows, Mac, Linux & Chromebook​

Installing Patternmaker Pro is a simple, one-time process. Once installed, it will appear on your computer just like any other app.

PatternMaker Pro is designed for desktop and laptop computers due to its large and complex user interface. Installation on mobile phones or tablets is not recommended or supported.

The Chrome browser will show a small icon in the address bar when you visit the website link provided after purchase. Clicking this icon will prompt you to install the app.

  1. Open the website in Chrome using the link we provided after purchase.
  2. Look for the install icon in the address bar. It looks like a small computer with a download arrow. Install Icon
  3. Click the icon and select Install.
  4. The PatternMaker Pro app will now be available from your desktop or Start Menu.

Uninstall PatternMaker Pro like you would any other computer program using your operating system (Windows, Linux, Mac).
