Layered PDF Output Tool
What it Does
The Layered PDF Output Tool generates an interactive multi-layer PDF from your graded pattern set, embedding each size on its own independent, toggleable layer using standard PDF Optional Content Groups (OCGs).
When opened in a compatible PDF viewer such as Adobe Acrobat Reader, you can show or hide individual sizes and alignment grids before printing or cutting. This eliminates nested line confusion, saves printer ink, and allows you to print or project only the exact size(s) you need.
How to Use
- Activate the tool by clicking the
Layered PDF Outputicon - Select a Pattern Set from the drop-down list
- You have a number of options for the PDF format:
- Letter – this is an American 8.5”x11” output.
- A4 – this is an international 210 mm x 297 mm output.
- 11”x17” - this is an American tabloid or ledger size output.
- 13”x19” - this is an American Super B output.
- 24” Roll – this results in output that is no wider than 24” for large format printers with paper rolls.
- 36” Roll – this results in output that is no wider than 36” for large format printers with paper rolls.
- Projector – this results in one PDF page, regardless of size for use with projectors.
- A file dialog will open, prompting you to choose a location on your computer to save the PDF.
