Import Image Tool

What it Does

Imports photographic images temporarily into your drafting workspace as scalable reference underlays. Once imported, images become part of your working environment and can be positioned, resized, and used as precision tracing templates for pattern development.

The image is placed on its own unique layer so it can be hidden with the Layer Visibility Tool or can be made transparent with the Layer Opacity tool.

🧠Memorization

Images and image layers are not memorized.

info

Imported images serve as non-printing background references that you can trace over with pattern tools to capture exact shapes and proportions.
