Trace Points Tool

What it Does​

The Trace Points tool allows you to rapidly plot a sequence of coordinate points across your workspace without interruption. Built specifically for digitizing imported raster images and PDF reference layers, this tool keeps the crosshair cursor active after each click. This enables continuous, point-by-point tracing around your pattern’s perimeter without needing to reactivate the tool for every individual point.

How to Use​

  1. Activate the tool by clicking the Add Trace Points icon
  2. Click anywhere on your image
  3. Click the workspace again to reposition it, if needed
  4. Click Save Point to place the point and create another
  5. Click Done when all the points have been placed
  6. Click Cancel to discard all
tip

Use the Add Multi-Point Line Tool after all your trace points are completed to quickly outline your pattern.
