What it Does

Provides the ability to rename any layer in your pattern hierarchy, replacing default or outdated names with descriptive identifiers that clearly communicate each layer's purpose and content. This essential organizational feature helps maintain clarity and efficiency as your pattern projects become more complex.

Layer names should be descriptive and unique to avoid confusion. Choose names that clearly indicate the layer's content and purpose within your pattern structure.

How to Use

1. Activate the tool by clicking the Layer Name icon
2. Review the hierarchical tree displaying all available layers
3. Click to select the layer you want to rename
4. Enter your new descriptive name in the text field
5. Click Save to apply the new name or Cancel to abort the change
