Rotate Layer Tool

What it Does​

Rotates all elements within a selected layer around a specified pivot point, maintaining the spatial relationships between points, lines, and curves while changing their angular orientation. The tool provides both interactive slider control for visual adjustment and precise degree input for mathematical accuracy.

The blue pivot point remains stationary while all other elements rotate around it, maintaining their distances from the pivot.

How to Use​

  1. Activate the tool by clicking the Rotate Layer icon
  2. Select the layer to rotate from the hierarchical tree displayed
  3. Click to select a pivot point for rotation (will appear in blue)
  4. Select the rotation amount using either method:
  5. Interactive Slider: Drag for visual adjustment
  6. Degrees Box: Enter precise numerical value
  7. Click Preview to see the new position before committing
  8. Click Save to apply the rotation or Cancel to abort
