Rotate Layer To Tool

What it Does​

Calculates and applies the exact rotation needed to align a moving point with a stationary target point, rotating the entire selected layer around a specified pivot. The tool automatically determines the required angle and rotates all layer elements as a unified set while maintaining their internal relationships.

The blue moving point will align exactly with the green target point after rotation, creating precise alignment between pattern components.

How to Use​

  1. Activate the tool by clicking the Rotate Layer To icon
  2. Select the layer to rotate from the hierarchical tree displayed
  3. Select a point on the moving layer (will appear in blue)
  4. Select a non-moving target point where rotation will stop (will appear in green)
  5. Select a pivot point for the rotation operation
  6. Click Save to apply the calculated rotation or Cancel to abort

The target point must be on a different layer than the rotating elements, otherwise it will move with the rotation and prevent proper alignment.
