Add Layout Tool

What it Does​

Creates a layout, which is a visual representation of fabric for pattern placement and yardage estimates.

How to Use​

  1. Activate the tool by clicking the Add Layout icon.
  2. Enter a name for the new layout.
  3. Enter the width of the fabric.
  4. Select the fabric background:
    • Right Side – pale beige
    • Wrong Side – light grey
    • Interfacing – slanted grey strokes
  5. Select Preview to see the fabric in the workspace.
  6. If you can’t see the fabric, pan in the workspace to the upper left corner.
  7. Click Save to apply the new layout or Cancel to abort. 💡 Note: All items in the layout process are scaled to ¼ of their real size. This makes arrangement much easier, as more will fit in the visible area of the workspace.
