 Merge Points Tool Icon

Merge Points Tool

What it Does

Combines two separate points into a single point, consolidating all their connections and properties. The tool offers three positioning options for the merged result, allowing you to choose the optimal location based on your pattern requirements. All elements connected to either original point will automatically connect to the new merged point.

tip

The blue point is designated as the "keep" point, and the red point is the "merge" point that will be eliminated in the process.

How to Use

  1. Activate the tool by clicking the Merge Points icon
  2. Select the point to keep (will appear in blue)
  3. Select the point to merge (will appear in red)
  4. Choose your merge location from three options:
  5. Merge at Blue Point: Final point positioned at the blue point's location
  6. Merge at Red Point: Final point positioned at the red point's location
  7. Merge at Center: Final point positioned halfway between both points
  8. Enter a descriptive name for the new merged point
  9. Click Save to complete the merge or Cancel to abort
Point of No Return

Merging points is irreversible. Both original points will be replaced by the single merged point, and all their connections will transfer to the new point.
