Add Multiple Points Tool

What it Does​

Creates multiple points along any line or curve element using precise mathematical distribution. The tool analyzes the total length of your selected element and places points at calculated intervals based on your spacing method.

tip

The blue point indicates the start of your line/curve, and the green point shows the end direction.

How to Use​

  1. Activate the tool by clicking the Add Multiple Points icon
  2. Select a line or curve element (endpoints will show as blue and green)
  3. Choose your point distribution method:
  4. Specific Number: Enter the number of points to create equal spacing
  5. Set Distance: Enter the distance between consecutive points
  6. Use Other Side button to apply offset from the opposite end if needed
  7. Click Preview to visualize point positions before saving
  8. Enter a descriptive name for the point series
  9. Choose save method: Save (preserves original element) or Save & Split (divides element at each point)
warning

You cannot enter values in both the "number of points" and "distance between points" fields simultaneously. Clear one field before using the other.
