Add Point Perpendicular Tool

What it Does

Creates new points positioned at exact 90-degree angles from a reference line you establish. The tool calculates the perpendicular direction from your origin point and places the new point at your specified distance along that perpendicular path.

How to Use

1. Activate the tool by clicking the Add Point Perpendicular icon
2. Click to select the origin point (will appear in blue)
3. Click to select the vector point for direction reference (will appear in red)
4. Enter the distance value/formula from the origin point for the perpendicular placement
5. Click Preview to see the new point position
6. Use Other Side to flip the point to the opposite side of the origin point if needed
7. Click Continue to proceed
8. Enter a descriptive name for the new point
9. Select a Style from the drop-down list
10. Click Save to create the point
11. Click Save & Line to create the point and connect it with a line to the origin.
12. Click Cancel to abort

The perpendicular is calculated at exactly 90° from the line between your blue (origin) and red (vector) points.
