Add Point from 2 Points Tool

What it Does​

Creates new points positioned relative to two selected reference points. You can place the new point anywhere along the X and Y axes defined by your reference points, including midpoints, endpoints, or custom proportional distances.

tip

Use the red and blue color coding to easily identify which reference point corresponds to each axis position.

How to Use​

  1. Activate the tool by clicking the Add Point from 2 Points icon
  2. Click to select the first base point (will appear in red)
  3. Click to select the second base point (will appear in blue)
  4. Choose X position: Red Point, Blue Point, Center, or enter custom value/formula
  5. Choose Y position: Red Point, Blue Point, Center, or enter custom value/formula
  6. Click Preview to see the position of the new point
  7. Enter a descriptive name for the new point
  8. Click Save to create the point or Cancel to abort.

The preview function helps you verify the point placement before committing to the final position.
