Scale Output Tool

What it Does​

Prepares your pattern for printing at a scaled size. This tool is ideal for drafting, testing fit, and making miniature or scaled sample garments to save fabric and time during development.

This does not change the size of your draft in any way. It only applies to the output PDF.

How to Use​

  1. Activate the tool by clicking the Scale Output Tool icon

  2. Select a scale option:

    • 1/4 Scale
    • 1/3 Scale
    • 1/2 Scale

  3. Select your paper size:

    • Letter – this is an American 8.5”x11” output.
    • A4 – this is an international 210 mm x 297 mm output.
    • 11”x17” - this is an American tabloid or ledger size output.
    • 13”x19” - this is an American Super B output.
    • 24” Roll – this results in output that is no wider than 24” for large format printers with paper rolls.
    • 36” Roll – this results in output that is no wider than 36” for large format printers with paper rolls.
    • Projector – this results in one PDF page, regardless of size for use with projectors.

  4. Click Close to close the tool.
