Add Cowl Tool

What it Does

The Cowl tool transforms a standard neckline into a draped cowl neck by projecting an extension line from the side neck to an intersection boundary.

To define the depth and fullness of the drape, the tool calculates an extension point where the new neckline intersects a selected reference line or curve. Choosing the center front line as the boundary produces a shallow, subtle cowl; selecting a reference positioned further away extends the fold line, creating a deeper, more dramatic drape.

How to Use

1. Activate the tool by clicking the Add Cowl icon
2. Select the center line point (usually down the center front at the cowl break line)
3. Select the side neck point
4. Select a line or curve that the cowl extension will intersect
5. Click Save to create the cowl or Cancel to abort
