Change Size of Points Tool

What it Does Adjusts the visual display radius of pattern points without affecting their geometric properties or precision. The tool allows you to scale point visibility from nearly invisible 1-pixel dots to highly visible 5-pixel circles, optimizing your workspace for different tasks, screen sizes, and presentation needs.

tip

The standard 3-pixel radius provides optimal visibility for most pattern work. Use smaller sizes (1-2 pixels) for complex patterns with many points, and larger sizes (4-5 pixels) for presentations or when working on high-resolution displays.

How to Use

The tool offers two main approaches for changing point sizes:

Change All Points

  1. Activate the tool by clicking the Change Size of Points icon
  2. Choose "Change Size of All Points" to modify every point in the pattern
  3. Enter the desired size (1-5 pixels, with 3 being standard)
  4. Click Preview to see the changes before committing
  5. Click Save to apply the new size or Cancel to abort

Change Selected Points

  1. Activate the tool by clicking the Change Size of Points icon
  2. Choose "Select Points to Change" for selective modification
  3. Click to select one or more specific points to resize
  4. Enter the desired size for the selected points (radius in pixels)
  5. Click Preview to see the changes before applying
  6. Click Save to apply the new size or Cancel to abort
info

Point size changes affect only visual display, not geometric accuracy. All calculations and measurements remain precise regardless of display size.
