Change Style/Color Tool

What it Does

Applies visual styling to pattern elements based on their functional style, creating an intelligent color-coding system that instantly communicates purpose and hierarchy. Each element type receives specific color, stroke width, and dash pattern attributes for pattern documentation.

tip

Use one of the standard styles or create one of your own with the Add Custom/Color Style tool.

How to Use

  1. Activate the tool by clicking the Change Style/Color icon
  2. Select one or more pattern elements to modify (points, lines, or curves)
  3. Choose the appropriate style from the available options in the drop-down based on the element's function
  4. Select Preview to see the changes
  5. Click Save to apply the new visual styling or Cancel to abort
