Distance Between Points Tool

What it Does

Calculates precise straight-line distances between selected points using mathematical algorithms, providing accurate dimensional data regardless of how points are connected through curves or line segments. The tool reveals true spatial relationships and can measure multiple points in sequence to show cumulative distances along a path.

tip

You can keep the tool open and continuously select/deselect points to compare different measurements without having to reactivate the tool each time.

How to Use

1. Activate the tool by clicking the Distance Between Points icon
2. Click to select two or more points to measure in a continuous line
3. Press Calculate to see the measurement results
4. You can leave the tool open and select/deselect points as needed
5. Hit Calculate again to see new values with your updated point selection
6. Select Close when you're finished using the tool

warning

The tool measures straight-line distances between points, not the curved path along connecting lines. For path-based measurements, use Measure Line/Curve designed for curve and path lengths.
