Add Reference Grid

What it Does​

Provides a streamlined way to generate a high-precision grid layout with a defined four-point boundary. Use it to create drafting guides and alignment matrices with complete control over spacing and margins.

Use this tool to create placements for embroidery and other precisely spaced embellishments.

How to Use​

  1. Activate the tool by clicking the Add Reference Grid icon
  2. Select corner points to define the grid. The order of selection is critical - Top Left, Top Right, Bottom Left, Bottom Right
  3. Define the vertical line spacing
    • Enter the number of points to place between the ends
    • Enter the distance to measure between the points
  4. Optional - enter a value to offset the left vertical line (moves right)
  5. Optional - enter a value to offset the right vertical line (moves left)
  6. Define the horizontal line spacing
    • Enter the number of points to place between the ends
    • Enter the distance to measure between the points
  7. Optional - enter a value to offset the top horizontal line (moves down)
  8. Optional - enter a value to offset the bottom horizontal line (moves up)
  9. Click Save keep the grid Cancel to abort

The entire grid is created within a new layer that can be deleted with the Delete Layer tool.
