#126 Knit A-Line Skirt

This is an A-line skirt intended for knits. The skirt side hemline is moved out 1.5"/38mm. This creates a flare of 6"/152.4mm total.

You can Select a Skirt Length or go with the default.

This skirt has an invisible folded waistband. The width is determined by the Elastic Width.

Join the piece of elastic so it is circular by sewing edge-to-edge or with an overlap. Overlapping is only suitable for light weight elastic.
Mark the elastic in fourths to align to the skirt side seams and center front/back.
Place the elastic aligned with the top of the skirt on the wrong side.
With the elastic face up, stitch on the edge with a serger or zig-zag stitch.
Fold the attached elastic to the wrong side of the skirt.
Stitch-in-the-ditch at the side seams to secure the elastic down.
