#140 Knit Semi-Fitted Skirt with Gathered Flounce

Overview

This is a semi-fitted skirt with an asymmetrical flounce intended for knits. The flounce is longer in the back than in the front. This flounce is two times the width of the skirt edge in addition to the other fullness for gathering.

Note that the Flounce Width is added to the skirt length. For example, a knee length skirt would be knee length plus the width of the flounce.

You can change the Flounce Width Front  and the Flounce Width Back and Select a Skirt Length to change the overall length.

This includes a fold-over waistband casing for elastic. The width is determined by the elastic width.

Note when cutting out the flounce patterns. These are placed on the fold when cutting them out. Then the side seam fold is cut though for attaching to the skirt. This leaves the center front and back seamless, while creating seams on the sides.
