#72 Unisex Leggings

Overview

This is a leggings pattern. This pattern is drafted using the hip measurement only. If the model waist measurement is much less than the hips, this may not fit well.

It is intended for stretchy knit  fabrics with a minimum stretch factor of 50% on the cross grain and 18% on the straight grain. When using knits with less stretch, add additional ease.

The pattern has a fold-over waistband set to 3" / 7.6 cm by default. If you want the waistband wider, change the waistband width variable. The hem is set to 3/4" / 2cm. The waist and hem have a seam allowance applied for turnover edge finishes.

The side seam is straight on the front and back patterns, which allows you to create a one-piece design eliminating the side seam.

This pattern uses the natural waistline. If you want the pants to sit lower, add a waistline drop value.
