#91 Design Ruler

Overview

This is a design ruler used for making adjustments to your patterns. You must select a Measurement Set to draft the ruler.  The units will match those of the measurement set you have chosen. For example, a set with metric measurements will produce a ruler with metric markings.

You can glue the paper pattern to cardboard, hardboard or another stiff material and cut it out for use. 

Use the straight edge as you would any other type of straight ruler.

The lower part of the ruler is used for smoothing hip curves. The area on the ruler for this is -

• Metric 1 - 42
• Imperial 1 - 17

The upper part of the ruler is used for making smooth armhole curves. The area on the ruler for this is -

• Metric 33 and greater
• Imperial 13 and greater
