#92 Unisex Top with Two-Piece Raglan Sleeves

Overview

This is a top with raglan sleeves. The front and back are placed on the fold before cutting to make a one-piece pattern. This is intended for knit fabrics. It has a simple knit band neckline finish.

If the hips are wider than the chest, the pattern will flare out from the waist to the hip line.

The pattern is hip length but can be made longer by using the Add length to bodice variable.

The shoulder width and neckline are adjusted for the addition of the 1”/25.4mm finished width knit collar band. The pattern is included. The collar band should have a minimum of 50% stretch with excellent recovery. It is drafted at 66% of the length of the neckline. Ribbing would be best.

The sleeve is in two pieces. If you want to combine them for a one-piece pattern, cut off the seam allowance from the wrist line up the center to the aqua colored transition points. Then match at the points and tape the patterns together. You will still have a small seam over the shoulder.

If a sleeve length isn't specified, it will draft to the full overarm length. The wrist width is determined by the wrist measurement plus wrist ease.

There is a 1/4"/6.35mm seam allowance by default. Change to 1/2"/12.7mm or greater, if you are using a serger. The bodice includes a 1”/25.4mm hem by default.
